Cupuacu (Theobroma Grandiflorum) seed Butter is one of our favorite butter at Karifee. Commonly known as cupuaçu, also spelled cupuassu, cupuazú, cupu assu, or copoazu, it's a tropical rainforest tree related to Cacao. Originally from the Amazon basin, it is naturally cultivated in the jungles of north Brazil, in grand part but can also be found in Colombia, Peru and Bolivia. Like its cousin, Cacao, the pulp of the cupuaçu fruit is consumed throughout Central and South America, especially in the northern states of Brazil. Cupuacu butter has very high water absorption capacity, said to be greater than lanolin. Due to its capacity for water absorption and its ability to obstruct the evaporation of moisture ,from the skin, Cupuaçu butter can restore the skin hydration and moisturization with visible and intense skin emollience.This butter is great at keeping the skin soft and bouncy and it is pretty fast absorbing which make it even better.
